Dr. Abu Bakarr Kanu is a Specialist Paediatrician committed to excellence in child health, clinical service, and medical education. He is a Member of the West African College of Physicians and currently serves as the Deputy Chief Resident at Ola During Children’s Hospital, where he plays a pivotal role in clinical leadership, resident supervision, and quality patient care.
Dr. Kanu is also a Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics at the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, University of Sierra Leone, contributing to the training and mentorship of future medical professionals. His academic pursuits include a Diploma from the Sydney Child Health Program (2020) and a postgraduate certification in Paediatric Nutrition from the Boston University School of Medicine, reflecting his dedication to continuous professional development. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Dr. Kanu enjoys reading, watching soccer, and engaging in teaching. He is deeply family-oriented and values the balance between professional commitment and family life.
