Dr. Mariama Mustapha is a distinguished Consultant Paediatrician and Public Health Leader renowned for her expertise in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH), Nutrition, HIV/AIDS and Health Systems Strengthening. With over 15 years of transformative experience, Dr. Mustapha has played pivotal roles in shaping public health policies and implementing groundbreaking programs nationally and internationally.

Dr. Mustapha’s academic journey reflects her commitment to excellence. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Surgery, and Community Health from COMAHS in Sierra Leone, a Master of Medicine in Paediatrics and Child Health from Makerere University in Uganda, and a postgraduate diploma in Paediatric Nutrition from Boston University, USA. Additionally, she earned an MSc in Public Health from the University of South Wales, UK, and is a proud Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Sierra Leone.

Her professional journey spans significant roles, including a Paediatrician within Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Health and a Health Specialist with UNICEF Sierra Leone. She has spearheaded numerous health initiatives, research projects, and training programs, earning recognition for her leadership and impact in Sierra Leone and beyond.

Dr. Mustapha is an International Public Health Consultant who offers expert technical guidance to governments, Ministries of Health, and leading organizations such as UNICEF, WHO, UNAIDS, Africa HCD +, Chemonics International, etc. Her ability to drive strategic outcomes and foster collaboration has solidified her reputation as a trusted advisor in global health. She enjoys reading, dancing, and travelling. Dr. Mustapha is married and the proud mother of two children.
