Launch of the Paediatric Association of Sierra Leone (PASL) – 3 May 2024
On 3 May 2024, a significant milestone in child health was achieved with the official launch of the Paediatric Association of Sierra Leone (PASL). The occasion marked the formal establishment of a national platform dedicated to advancing paediatric care and child wellbeing across the country.
The event was graciously attended by distinguished dignitaries and key stakeholders from the Maternal and Child Health community, reflecting strong national support for the Association’s mission.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Lynda Farma-Grant, Programme Manager for the National Child Health Programme at the Ministry of Health, who was formally introduced by Dr. Mariama Mustapha. The ceremony opened with prayers and reflections honouring the pioneers whose efforts laid the foundation for paediatric advancement in Sierra Leone.
